War!

It looks as if we have war again in the Middle East. Hamas attacked Israel in the most cowardly and despicable way. I have never been able to understand why terrorist groups think that killing innocent men, women, and children is going to further their cause or gain sympathy to their cause.

The only thing it does is expose why they are evil. Their lack of empathy to their innocent victims demonstrates why they cannot win. In the case of Israel, did the terrorist really think that the Israelites would not retaliate? The prime minister of Israel, Netanyahu, has promised all out war towards Hamas, and I do not think he is bluffing. Hamas` gift to the world, another war against Israel and her allies. I can only hope that our milquetoast president allows us to support Israel and maybe this war will result in a more lasting peace in the region.

Woke?

Greetings gentle readers.

We may be seeing the beginning of the end for “woke” madness. Bud Light and Disney are the most obvious recipients of the backlash that this madness has produced. Like most philosophies of popular origins, it probably started out as a benign way to arouse intelligent discussions of social moments, but alas, as most of these misguided efforts, descended into foolish decisions, corporate sheep mentality, and the antitheses of rational thought.

Corporate blunders are nothing new and the public will vote with their patronage and the almighty dollar. Universities and higher learning establishments will continue their liberal agenda and the graduated students will continue their mindless philosophies devoid of any discussions to the contrary, and hopefully the damage they do will be temporary and transient. “Woke” did not bind us to a new light of discovery, but blinded us to rational thought and discourse. It is one of the many ways that have divided us as a nation and it is my prayer that we continue our vigilance and commentary that is so necessary in our world today.

Greetings and felicitations!

Sounds pompous, doesn't it?

I hope to update and post on this page at least once a week and to keep you informed on my publishing journey and to share information on what is available. I will also expound on subjects they are dear to my heart.

I am currently in the editing stage on my second novel, a murder mystery taking place in 1903. It is a period piece from a fascinating transitional era of our shared history. It follows the sheriff and deputy of Lampasas County as they try to solve the mystery of “ The Hanged Man”. When they view the body hanging from an old oak tree, they are intrigued by a crude sign nailed to the branch from which the stranger is hung. In yellow paint, a crescent moon over three yellow stars. I hope to have it ready for publication in the next 3-4 months, so stay tuned.
